BTS Creates Technology to Provide Medical Decision-Making Support

Shepherdstown, WV – July 21, 2004– Business Technology Source announces that it has a contract to build a new web application for Johns Hopkins University’s Wilmer Eye Institute.
Business Technology Source announces that it has contracted with The Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD to provide them with a new web-based application that will give medical professionals Virtual Conferencing capability. Using an Open-Source Distance Learning Platform previously developed by BTS, the new functionality will be used to analyze certain types of medical cases in a secure, online, moderated forum. For each case history presented, partipants can vote on possible outcomes and their responses will be captured in a database to be used for further analysis and study.
