Seminar Leader Discusses Computer System Protection

Shepherdstown, WV – July 22, 2003– Participants in the Jefferson County Project Impact’s Business Continuity Planning seminar on July 17 learned how to begin planning for their organization’s Information Technology needs in the event of a disaster.  Paul Woods, CEO of Business Technology Source, LLC gave attendees tools and techniques for assessing the risks and vulnerabilities present in their information technology systems, if a loss of access to computer hardware, software and data should occur.
 Woods stressed the importance of preventing loss of data, even though hardware or software may be permanently lost. Hardware and software are replaceable but valuable customer data is not. Participants learned what steps they need to take to make an action plan and prevent any loss of data.
